Nanoputian (Nanokid)
Nanoputian also called Nanokid with the molecular formula of C39H42O2 and with a structural formula resembling the human form is the head of a class of anthropomorphic organic molecules called Nanoputians designed and synthesized by James M. Tour and coworkers in 2003. The word “Nanoputian” is a portmanteau of nanometer, a unit of length in the order of size of molecules, and Lilliputian, the fictional race of little humans in the novel “Gulliver’s Travels” by Jonathan Swift.
