A Demonstration of How Small Atomic Nuclei Are

This demonstration shows us that atomic nuclei are much smaller than atoms as stadiums are much smaller than our planet Earth. Since atoms themselves are very small, one can easily conclude that atomic nuclei are extremely small. Many experiments and measurements have already validated such facts. While diameters of atomic nuclei are found to be typically several femtometers, diameters of atoms are found to be typically a few hundred picometers (1 fm and 1 pm are respectively equal to equal to 10-15 m and 10-12 m).
